KING OF DANCE THE NATRAJA


If you never felt your soul and spiritual power, then you need to go to Natraja temple. Natraja temple is in Chidambaram,  this is small town in Tamil nadu (India).
Natraja, the dancing form of Lord Shiva, is a symbolic synthesis of the most important aspects of Hinduism. The term 'Nataraj' means 'King of Dancers' (Sanskrit nata = dance; raja = king).
                                    

 I reached Natraja temple in a night near 10:00 p.m., then I decided to saw ARDHAJAAMAM Puja ( During the time spatika linga abhishekam, maha aarthi and then PADHUKA comes back to palliyarai in a palanquin, maha aarthi at palliyarai, chandeswarar aarthi, bhairavar aarthi, Ardhajaama sundharar aarthi)  in temple.  When I entered from first door in the temple, I listened music of  thavil drum that invited me in Puja, sounds of thavil  attracted me much. I felt some warm in my heart (soul), then I started to run. I very wanted to saw this Puja very fast.  When I reached place of Arti, there is many devotees lost them self . I felt I am little late, but I saw last phase of Arti, when the Lord's footwear (PADHUKA) is taken in a procession for Him to 'retire' for the night with Parwati. Before the 5th puja at night, the priest(pujari) performs special rituals at the Chidambara Rahasya, where he anoint the yantra with aromatic substances and offers 'naivedhyam'.
The  last puja, called the Arthajaama puja in Chidambaram is done with special fervor. It is believed that the entire divine force of the universe retires into the Lord, when he retires for the night.
      Then I joined the last phase of 'Arti' in where the pujari went with the footwear (PADHUKA) in every corner of temple and chanted Matra. The sound of thavil drum and bell followed for pujari. I felt all temple sing song, sound of bell and thavil came from every part of temple at that time. I lost myself in the temple, I felt my inner body, my soul and every part of my body connected with Arti. I forgot about my myself, about my bad emotions, my problems. These were inexpressible unusual sensations! When I closed my eyes I felt this place had very big source of spiritual energy. I felt this energy inside me. When Puja is began I not understood all words of priest(pujari), but when I closed my eyes and   I felt whole word and I started to understand words.  I felt very big energy near me, and suddenly I felt some power pulled me up. This sensation is amazing, it is impossible to express in words.
   Fire of 'Arti' was amazing. I felt the warm of this 'Arti'  infact I am in 30 meter away from it. In this temple no need to try for meditation, people automatically going on phase of meditation. The sounds of   bells made my brain stop and I reached phase of meditation. I listened every beats of the bells, and I felt some sounds came out from my body.  I never forget the heat of this 'Arti', last minutes of Arti, I felt that the temple of Natraja is dancing and sings song for lord 'Natraja'.
       After finishing of 'Arti' temple was closed. And  I decided I will necessarily come again in morning for PAAL NIVEDHYAM Puja.
 PAAL NIVEDHYAM Puja: PADHUKA (Lord's footwear) being brought from palliyarai (bedroom) to sanctum in a palanquin.
       Sometimes we do not even suspect that new places can give us so much warmth and light which we so needed in life!

Meenakshi Amman Temple is life line of Madurai city , It's also called Meenakshi Sundareswarar Temple.
